1) ExpirationNext and StrikeNext functions

The “ExpirationNext” and “StrikeNext” functions in MarketXLS help users retrieve information about thenextexpiration date and strike for a given underlying.** Here’s how you can use the ExpirationNext function:**

=ExpirationNext(“MSFT”,1): This formula will return the next expiration date for the symbol. Example if today’s 22nd June 2023 (Wednesday) it will show the 23rd June 2023 expiration date.

** Here’s how you can use the StrikeNext function:**

=StrikeNext(“MSFT”,1): This formula returns the first strike above the at-the-money strike. For example, if the at-the-money strike is 350 and strikes are spaced 2.5 apart, it returns 352.5. =StrikeNext("MSFT",0) returns the at-the-money strike.

=StrikeNext(“MSFT”,-1): This formula returns the first strike below the at-the-money strike (347.5 in the same example).
