How do I install MarketXLS?

MarketXLS works on both Windows and Mac. Choose your platform below:

Mac Installation (Office 365 Add-in)

Install MarketXLS directly from within Excel for Mac:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel on your Mac
  2. Go to File > Get Add-ins (or Home > Add-ins)
  3. Search for "MarketXLS"
  4. Click Add to install
  5. Sign in with your MarketXLS credentials

You can also install from Microsoft AppSource.

Windows Installation (Desktop Add-in)

Before You Begin

  • Close Excel completely before installing
  • Make sure you have your license key ready (from your purchase email)
  • You'll need admin rights on your computer

1. Download the Installer

Download MarketXLS from marketxls.com/software

2. Run the Installer

  1. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder)
  2. Double-click to run the installer
  3. If prompted by Windows, click Run or Yes
  4. Follow the installation wizard prompts

3. Open Excel

  1. Open Microsoft Excel
  2. You should see a MarketXLS tab in the ribbon
  3. If you don't see it, check our troubleshooting guide

4. Enter Your License Key

  1. Click on the MarketXLS tab
  2. Click Activate or Enter License
  3. Paste your license key
  4. Click Activate

5. Set Up QuoteMedia

  1. Go to MarketXLS > Settings
  2. Enter your QuoteMedia credentials (from your setup email)
  3. Click Test Connection

System Requirements

Mac

  • macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later
  • Microsoft 365 subscription with Excel for Mac
  • Internet connection for real-time data

Windows

  • Windows 10 or later
  • Microsoft Excel 2016 or later (desktop version)
  • Internet connection for real-time data
  • 4GB RAM minimum (8GB recommended)
